Brother of Paul RIP
I started riding skateboards when I was 7 but never learned any tricks. I spend most of my time on my butt going down ramps and riding in a straight line. I skated like that from time to time. In Oct 2007 at a local skate jam at the local skateboard shop I met Brent Atchley and he showed me and my brother Paul a few things and I learned my first tricks, Ollie and how to drop in. Being Oct the weather changed and skateboarding was done til summer.
Before summer would come my brother Paul died from complications from the medication he received after tonsil surgery on March 16th, 2008.
Summer 2008 was my first without my brother and I did very little on a skateboard and spent most time indoors or around the house. I did play Baseball that summer since it was something I loved to do with Paul.
Summer 2009 I began to get out, I played Baseball, Football, Soccer, Golf, and Tennis. In June my Dad took me to Riley Skate Park, it was a new park and it was made of concrete and was all pools. I thought this was very cool but being a beginner it was very discouraging. Then in July I started going to a more local park and that was Drake Park, mostly ramps and rails and found this more to my liking. I had my best friends with me for most of those days Byram and his brother Jordi who were better then me and they pushed me to get better and I began learning tricks. I have been skating ever since and through the winter visited many indoor parks regularly to try to improve.
My Adventure in Snowboarding.
In September of 2007 my brother Paul came home with a Lamar Snowboard he bought at a garage sale down the street and said he wanted to learn to snowboard, unfortunately he never got the chance. This winter I decided to give it a try so I grabbed my brothers board and went snowboarding for the first time in February 2010. What a Blast!!! Cant wait til next season.
I just want to better and have fun.
