Russell Secures Sixth Consecutive GNCC Championship

Buffalo, NY: The Grand National Cross Country (GNCC) Series saw KTM factory rider Kailub Russell secure an astonishing sixth-consecutive GNCC XC1 National Championship at this weekend’s race in St. Clairsville, OH.

Russell, who won all six titles on Dunlop tires, finished the first lap mid-pack after tangling with Thad Duvall, and had to claw his way to the front. By the second lap, Russell had moved into second, where he would ultimately finish behind Duvall. With one race still to come in the season, Russell was able to secure the title thanks to an insurmountable 35-point lead.

Russell had a dominating season, winning seven of the 12 rounds, finishing second twice, and only missing the podium once.
