Team
Dunlop Elite Riders Head into 2019
Buffalo,
NY:
As the new Supercross Futures amateur championship kicks off this weekend in
Glendale, AZ, Dunlop is proud to announce the riders who will represent Team
Dunlop Elite in 2019. Run in conjunction with the AMA/FIM Supercross series,
the Futures series gives amateur riders the chance to race on the pro track in
front of a stadium of Supercross fans and factory scouts looking for tomorrow’s
stars. You can bet Team Dunlop Elite riders will be battling hard for this new
championship.
This year, five new riders
have been selected to join the Team Dunlop Elite squad: Drew Adams, Ryder
Ellis, Mikayla Nielsen, Gavin Towers and Logan Best. These new riders will
round out the team and compliment returning Elite team riders including
Jett Reynolds, Ryder
DiFrancesco,
Haiden Deegan,
Daxton
Bennick
, Nick Romano,
Casey Cochran,
Max Vohland,
Caden
Braswell
, Crockett
Myers
, Seth Dennis
and Kade Johnson.
The Team Dunlop program has
now been generating top pros for over a decade. Last week’s Supercross
pre-season press conference saw six Team Dunlop Elite alumni chosen to be
highlighted on the 450 platform; more than half of the riders on stage have
graduated from the Team Dunlop program. The professional paddock is now stacked
with Team Dunlop Elite alumni, and for the first time in history two top
premier-class factory teams are made up of Team Dunlop Elite alumni—Kawasaki’s
Eli Tomac and Joey Savatgy, and Yamaha’s Justin Barcia and Aaron Plessinger.
“These guys are an inspiration
to the Team Dunlop program, and we’re happy to play a small role in helping
riders achieve their dreams,” said Rob Fox, Amateur Motocross Support Manager.
“Both Reynolds and DiFrancesco are now in their seventh year as Team Dunlop
Elite riders, receiving continued support from Dunlop as they dedicate
themselves to someday joining the other Team Dunlop alumni in the professional
ranks.”
